🥀 Seven Sorrows | Saturday, July 18, 2026 | Strengthen me from within

"Join us at Living Scapular for today’s devotion to Our Mother of Sorrows. On this Saturday, July 18, 2026, we meditate on the Sixth Sorrow: The Piercing of the Side of Jesus, and His Descent from the Cross. In this meditation, we contemplate the lifeless Body of Jesus being placed in the arms of His Mother. We gaze upon the Pietà—the silent, profound grief of Mary as she holds the price of our redemption. We reflect on the weight of the Savior’s Body and the tenderness with which Mary prepares Him for burial. Through this Chaplet, we ask for the grace of a holy death and the strength to comfort those who are grieving the loss of loved ones. The Sixth Sorrow: The Piercing of the Side and the Descent (John 19:34–38) What we pray for today: For all who mourn the loss of a child or a loved one. For those who feel spiritually empty or dead inside. For a greater devotion to the Precious Blood and the Wounded Heart of Jesus. About the Sixth Sorrow: The spear pierced the side of Jesus, but it was the heart of Mary that felt the wound. As she held His broken body, her sorrow was as vast as the sea. In this mystery, we learn to bring our brokenness to Mary, knowing she understands the weight of our grief. Daily Intentions: • For the comfort of the bereaved and the broken-hearted. • For those who care for the sick and the dying. • For the Gift of Knowledge to see the hand of God in our suffering.
