HOW DOES WAORANI TRIBE LIVE?

Welcome to the 3rd episode of travel show «The World Inside Out»! Our team sets out on a dangerous and long journey through the Ecuadorian Amazonia to find one of the most dangerous tribes – Huaorani or Waorani. Our expedition arrived in Bameno, a large Waorani community of about 150 people. They belong to that part of the Indigenous tribes that made contact with civilization in the 1950s. Avg distance from Bameno to the nearest city – hundreds of kilometers of wild jungle.The World Inside Out team traveled nearly two days by boat on Amazon tributaries to get here. We had to pass through the territory of non-contact Indigenous tribes, where they still kill all travelers without warning. The Huaorani of Bameno met us in their traditional costumes – hipbands and nothing more. Their faces were painted red and the women wore many brightly colored ornaments. To stay in the tribe, Dmytro Komarov must meet the oldest and most respected resident of Bameno, a tribal chief named Kemperi, and go to the local "vegetable garden" for yucca harvest to learn how the tribe gets food. They manage to go to places where a man has never set a foot and discover countries. Dmytro himself creates the route, learns the features of the new place in advance and tries to survive on his own in the practical primitive conditions. But the real thing is that he is actually trying to get used to the role of the natives, not just like a stranger but as part of the team, actively trying new crafts and ways of getting food, learning the local traditions and laws.
