The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows: Heavy fog is expected today along the West Coast and nearby areas, as well as parts of the South Coast, the interior of KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga. Light frost remains possible in some areas of the central interior. The Highveld can anticipate isolated showers and thunderstorms. The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 1 warning for severe thunderstorms in most of Mpumalanga—excluding the Lowveld—where localised flooding, hail, and damaging winds may cause disruption to roads, bridges, and infrastructure. Despite these warnings, most other regions remain free of severe weather alerts, though residents should stay alert to changing conditions, especially in the east of South Africa.
