After 45 years of fishkeeping, you’d think there wouldn’t be much left to learn… but that’s not true. In this video, I put a few ideas to the test—including whether American cichlids will actually eat fruit like they sometimes do in the wild—and the results weren’t exactly what I expected. From feeding experiments to observations that only come with decades in the hobby, these are a few things I’ve just learned (or finally understood) after all this time.
