Manchester Completely Surprised Us | Food, Libraries & History

Manchester completely surprised us with its incredible food, historic libraries, fascinating history, and neighborhoods full of character. After returning to Manchester from our canal boat trip, we checked into our hotel in the Cathedral Quarter before heading back into the city for one last day of exploring. We started with coffee, drinks in the Northern Quarter, and Thai food before spending our final day visiting John Rylands Library and Chetham’s Library, the oldest public library in the English-speaking world. We also returned to one of our favorite restaurants, Dishoom, for an unbelievable lunch, went to SCENE, an LGBTQ film festival, and ended the night with pizza and beer near the Gay Village. This was the final chapter of our trip after exploring Manchester, the Lake District, and the canals, and it ended up being one of our favorite food days of the entire journey. ---------------------------------- 🚗 Looking for a car rental?
