No Referendum Campaigns

Higher Education Minister William Ruto has called on the government not to turn the referendum into a contest between it and the Kenyan people. Ruto was speaking in Mombasa, where he led a group of Mps in urging area residents to vote no in the forthcoming referendum. The Mps called on President Kibaki not to leave behind a divisive constitution and instead leave a lasting legacy through a document that unites the nation. The no camp leaders were addressing a church congregation in Kisauni constituency.
