Buachaillin Dhoun (The Brown Boy) - Anne Byrne and Jesse Owens - Abbey Tavern
A restored cut from the 1965 LP, "The Rafters Ring at the Abbey Tavern", featuring Anne Byrne and Jesse Owens in a live performance of "Buachaillin Dhoun" aka "The Brown Boy". Jesse Owens and Anne Byrne were regular performers at the Abbey Tavern in the mid to late 1960's. Jesse Owens' guitar and fiddle arrangement, along with Anne's extraordinary vocals, make this simple tune both captivating and moving. This video includes photos from the album cover and back, along with a few images from an unrelated Anne Byrne and Jesse Owens performance.
