But how can we create a story that can immerse the user, and generate real impact? Ensuring a percentage of sales go into non-profits, consulting with affected communities, maintaining transparency – there are many ways we can efficiently bring change as writers and designers. Speaker: Andrea Saravia is an award-winning game designer, keynote speaker and writer with over six years of experience in the gaming industry. Her credits include Civilization VII, Untamed: Survival, The Ouroboros Express and various upcoming independent titles. In addition to being part of the IGDA Next Gen Leaders, she is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Baltimore. Currently, she is a Narrative Designer and Writer at Deviant Games while continuing to build narrative systems for a wide array of clients through her consultancy.
