Rigging out your camera of choice is definitely a journey of trial and error, refining the choices over time as you get used to the camera and how you want to operate. I've had the Sony FX6 for over two years now, and I'm finally at a stage where I can confidently pick and choose the pieces I need in a documentary camera rig. My recommendation for your own rig would be to start as minimally as possible, buying only a top plate and maybe a power solution.
