High power industrial vibrator (for concrete)
These things are intended for industrial applications where you need vibration to help move stuff in silos, sieves or chutes. They can also be used where vibration is needed to settle material like concrete in moulds/forms. It's just what you'd expect. A chunky motor with an eccentric weight at each end. Getting it apart was tricky as the ends of the housing have press fit bearings that are a tolerance fit on the shaft. It took a bit of tappy tap tap to get it apart, and a bit more to get it together again afterwards. This one came from a UK eBay seller as it was cheaper than AliExpress in this instance. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364478999042 For other locations, try the keywords:- 1 Phase 60W 220V Vibration Motor Concrete Shaker Vibrating Motor Asynchronous They seem to have them in the range of 40W to 100W and presumably in different voltage ratings too. I don't see any reference to a duty cycle on the unit or instructions. It would be quite amusing to mount one under a chair as a prank. These might even be what they use in some of those vibrating platforms found in some fashion gyms. There was one at a gym I used to go to, and whenever I was there an old lady would turn up and lay across the machine with her groin on the vibrating plate. I have absolutely no doubts about what she was "exercising". If you enjoyed this video, please consider subscribing for similar content.
