Listen to the podcast: https://apoia.se/ludoviajante In this controversial episode of #ludoresponde, we will talk about nihilism and existential emptiness. Why is suicide not the answer? Obviously, this is a sensitive topic that concerns psychology more; today, however, I will try to approach it from the perspective of Absurdist philosophy, using the book The Myth of Sisyphus as an example. For Albert Camus, suicide was the most important issue in philosophy. He describes 2 types of suicide: philosophical and literal. Sisyphus is a character in Greek mythology; according to legend, he was condemned to roll a stone to the top of a mountain for all eternity. Albert Camus sees this story as a metaphor for modern life. According to Existentialism, we are all Sisyphus pushing our stones. Despair, however, is not the answer. Camus argues: "we must imagine Sisyphus happy." ...................................................... ►►Interested in the Myth of Sisyphus?
