My Thesis in a nutshell – Marina Lehmann: Understanding Non-Readers in Germany
In this FORTHEM Talks episode, Marina Lehmann, doctoral researcher and research associate at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, introduces her PhD project on non-readers in Germany. Her research investigates people who are able to read but do not read books in their free time, analysing their sociodemographic characteristics, reading socialisation, political preferences and leisure activities. The project combines Book Studies, Social Sciences and Digital Humanities and contributes to a broader understanding of reading promotion.
