I Had To Cut My Discovery In Half To Save It!
The biggest job on this Land Rover Discovery 2 restoration starts here... The original chassis was simply too rotten to save, so there's only one option left - cut the Discovery in half, remove the rotten rear chassis and fit a brand new half chassis. While everything is apart, I also take the opportunity to completely refurbish the rear axle before this V8 Discovery begins its journey back to the road. This is by far the most daunting stage of the restoration so far, and once the grinder comes out... there's no turning back.
