Report: Canada’s Barrick Gold Signs New Agreement with Mali to End Dispute | Firstpost Africa | N18G Canadian miner Barrick Gold has reportedly signed a new agreement with the Junta-led authorities in Mali to end a nearly two-year dispute. However, the Mali Junta has yet to approve the deal. Barrick Gold and Mali have been at odds with each other since 2023. The dispute stems from a contract based on new mining rules that gives the West African country a greater share in the gold mine operated by the company.
