Journal With Me: Chapter 1 (My biggest creative journaling / common placing secret)

In this video, I explain my thought process as I put together a creative journaling / commonplace spread in the back of my Hobonichi Weeks. This is actually one of my least favorite spreads, but it's one I had footage of the process of, so I thought I'd use it. The techniques I use here apply to other/better journaling spreads I've done, so I still hope you're able to take something from it. Poetry and print-outs of paintings come from random places on the internet, but mostly I find them on Instagram and Tumblr. Look for accounts on Instagram, such as PoetryIsNotALuxury and DarkGloomyArt, that share daily poems and paintings that call out to you. Tumblr is also an excellent place to find quotes from people like Sylvia Plath or Virginia Woolf.
