Better Late Than Never
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give to all of you a special video, which I have worked so hard to complete to celebrate the Rev. W. Awdry's 100th Birthday. While many of you have decided to present your own interpretation of the Rev. Awdry's very first story, Edward's Day Out, as a gift to him, I thought that it would be nice to give him a story which he hadn't wrote as a gift. As Wilbert once gave a little boy with measles a timeless collection of stories, so too did that little boy carry on the legacy as the ultimate tribute to his father's work. And, knowing that his next book is coming out this July, I thought I'd celebrate two occasions at once with this story, one of my favorites written by Christopher. The story is presented in the TV Series format for two reasons. One, I think their interpretation of the story is superb, and I've always wanted to try a TV Series episode. Don't worry though, I've put my own little twist on the footage to reflect its Railway Series roots, which I feel is the point that our current TV Series sorely lacks. Enjoy a story where our two friends Thomas and Bertie get into an argument over keeping to time as told by the one of the best narrators of all, Ringo Starr!
