Djieri from Hartheim am Rhein will play the pieces "Auf der Autobahn," "He Slavko spiel uns eins," "Beim Pfarrwirt," "Zwoa Bleamal stehn am Wiesenrand," "Gamsjaga Marsch," and "Die Sterne am Himmel" (The Stars in the Sky). Djieri is 14 years old and started playing the accordion two years ago. At Easter – about a year and a half ago – he received his first Styrian accordion, and he has been playing with great joy and enthusiasm ever since. His uncle also plays the accordion, and they occasionally play together. At first, Djieri was very nervous at auditions, but now he has gained more experience and feels more and more confident in front of an audience. He is currently spending a 10-day vacation here in Tyrol. While he learned the accordion from sheet music, he is now learning the Styrian accordion only from videos and by ear. He particularly enjoys this because it allows him to play freely. Recently, at a mountain pasture, he was able to simply unpack his harmonica and start playing – a fantastic experience for Djieri! Since there are no Styrian harmonica teachers in his area, the Ziachfuchs learning videos are perfect for him. This allows him to practice outside or inside at any time, completely flexible.
