Andi from Fiss in the Tyrolean Oberland is playing the pieces "Wohl in da Wiederschwing," "Gern habn tuat guat," and the "Stoariegler Polka" for you today. 😊🎶 The 30-year-old started playing the Styrian accordion about four months ago and already has around twelve pieces in his repertoire, which he plays regularly. Even as a child, Andi was fascinated by folk music. Traditional music was often played at home, and this sparked his desire to play the violin himself. At music school, however, the focus was on classical music. He studied violin for ten years and also played in an orchestra. His fascination with the Styrian accordion, however, always remained – and so, four months ago, he fulfilled his childhood dream and started playing it. He follows the lesson plan of the Ziachfuchs learning videos quite closely, which is working perfectly. His instrument is always within easy reach in the kitchen, so he picks it up and plays almost every day. To unwind, Andi also enjoys sports – including running, cycling, and climbing. "The Styrian accordion sounds good right from the start, whereas with the violin, it takes a long time to produce a beautiful tone.
