There are times when God calls us to a difficult decision: to protect the promise or to continue nurturing what was born from our own will. In Genesis 21, Ishmael represented what Abraham produced by the strength of his arm. Isaac represented the promise. And the day came when that which was of the flesh needed to leave so that that which was of God could flourish. Perhaps God is showing you that some farewells are not punishment, but protection. Some cuts are not rejection, but guidance. Some pains are not destruction, but divine surgeries removing what threatens your purpose. There is no new season without renunciation. There is no fullness of the promise while we remain trapped in cycles, people, behaviors, and old versions of ourselves. Today, the Lord is calling many to a position: have the courage to let go of what doesn't fit in the place where He is leading you. What God is removing from your life is not greater than what He promised to deliver. Protect the promise. Close the doors of the past. And move forward. Your new season has already begun.
