Eagley, South Turton, Bolton to Dingle & Springs Reservoirs near Belmont, 5.5 Mile Circular Walk
Eagley village in South Turton, Bolton is a beautiful model village built for the mill workers. There were four mills built along Eagley brook that are now apartments. The walk starts at Eagley Valley Nature Reserve, heading through the old village with its cobbled streets, along the edge of Dunscar golf course to woods heading up towards the two reservoirs Dingle and Springs near Belmont. The return journey is through more woods to Fernhill Farm and back to Eagley village. The walk up to the reservoirs is gradual with no difficult routes.
