The Carter-Moriah Range | Day 120 — NOBO Appalachian Trail 2026 - NH RT 16 to HWY 2

Today, Sweets, Thumbs Up, & Mustard Seed returned to the detour to knock out around 19 miles up and over the Carters and Mt Moriah. While stopping for lunch, they remembered something PTL mentioned… that the Canadian Gray Jay will eat bread right out of your hands. This 15 minute lunch stop turned into a 30-45 minute moment of rejuvenation. The only real negative moment on the day was having a thunderstorm roll in on them as they crossed the summit of Mt Moriah—just a little bit of fear as thunder clapped loudly in the sky above them.
