【鎌倉古道迷走日記⑪】長享の乱の古戦場に眠る最強の山城杉山城と奇跡の古道遺構の数々

This route takes us through the Hiki Hills, the site of the Chōkyō Rebellion, a conflict between the Yamanouchi Uesugi and Ōgigayatsu Uesugi clans over the position of Kantō Kanrei (governor of the Kantō region), marking the beginning of the Sengoku period. Numerous historical sites, fortifications, and encampment ruins related to the conflict are scattered throughout the area. Almost all of the places I wandered into were related to the Chokyo Rebellion, which engulfed the entire Kanto region in the early Sengoku period. ◆While not many traces of the Kamakura Old Road itself remain, there are sections where remnants of the Kamakura Old Road have been miraculously preserved.
