Härtetest: 200.000 Ladepunkte - trotzdem Frust? | Geladen Podcast
Charging an electric car should one day be as easy as refueling: see the price, plug in, pay, and drive on. But how close is Germany really to achieving this? In this episode, we talk to Johannes Pallasch, head of the National Charging Infrastructure Control Center, about the state of charging infrastructure in Germany. On paper, the expansion sounds impressive: around 200,000 public charging points, of which about 50,000 are fast-charging points. The days when there were no charging stations at all in many places are over. Nevertheless, many people still feel uncertain: Where can I find an available charging station? What does charging really cost? Why are there so many tariffs, apps, and charging cards? When will paying by credit card become commonplace? And what about people who don't have their own wallbox? We also discuss the Deutschlandnetz (Germany Network), public fast-charging parks, price transparency, dynamic charging tariffs, municipalities, supermarkets, the GEIG (German Electricity Investment Funds Act), and the question of whether charging infrastructure is now less a problem of quantity and more a problem of trust. Sponsorship: The WARP4 wallbox from Tinkerforge is the modular, open-source charging solution "made in Germany" – with up to 22 kW charging power, solar surplus charging, and open interfaces – all without cloud requirements! Thanks to ISO15118, it's already hardware-ready for bidirectional charging. Compatible with over 100 devices, EVCC, and Home Assistant.
