There is a number of different reasons why this student failed their driving test and in this video I will explain why. During your driving test you will also be asked to demonstrate some technical checks. This usually means opening the bonnet and the driving test examiner will ask questions such as, "how do you check your engine oil level?" They picked up a grade 3 for position on roundabouts, observation moving off and observation at roundabouts. To fail your driving test for position on roundabouts, the applicant must of been seriously out of position for the exit they were intending on taking. To get a grade 3 fault in your driving test in Ireland, the driving tester felt you done something dangerously. See description below Grade 3 fault: Dangerous/Potentially Dangerous fault or total disregard of traffic controls. This driving test applicant also failed their driving test and received a grade 3 mark for observation moving off. This is such an easy way to fail your driving test. The reason why you would fail your driving test for observation moving off would be for pulling out in front of another road user and making the other road user slow down, see the video below for moving off from a parked position    • Moving Off From A Parked Position   This driving test applicant also failed their driving test for observation at roundabouts. To fail your driving test for observation at roundabout would be for doing something dangerous. A question you could be asked on your driving test is, "who has right of way on the roundabout?"
