We are driving one of the most spectacular routes of our camper trip through Morocco! Early in the morning, we set off towards the famous Todra Gorge. We drive through the almost empty gorge without crowds while the first rays of the sun touch the gigantic rock walls. A magical start to the day. Afterwards, we take the newly asphalted P7104, the impressive route connecting the Todra Gorge with the Dades Gorge. Along the way, we make an attempt to visit a camper spot… but sometimes your gut feeling tells you enough, and we just drive on. We stop at the unique Turtleback Canyon, then drive into the Dades Gorge and descend the famous hairpin bends. A route you have probably seen in photos before, but which is even more impressive in real life. Naturally, we also stop at the bizarre rock formations of the Monkey Fingers. After an overnight stay at Camping Chabab Saghro and a visit to a surprisingly modern Marjane supermarket, we slowly leave the high mountains and head into the rugged Anti-Atlas. Via Taliouine, we prepare for a new leg of the journey: narrow mountain roads, deep ravines, and finally… Tafraout.
