I stayed at the Kiunso inn in Yunotsu Onsen, Shimane Prefecture. Yunotsu Onsen is a historic hot spring that was discovered over 1,300 years ago. The hot spring town has been designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings by the national government, and is registered as part of the World Heritage Site "Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine Ruins and its Cultural Landscape." The outdoor bath, Yakushiyu, is one of the hot springs I've always wanted to try. This is a solo hot spring trip on the San'in Main Line. [Subtitles are available for this video.
