Taylor Park Reservoir Fishing | Colorado Trout & Pike Action!

Our trip to Taylor Park Reservoir, Colorado was nothing short of incredible. The day started off hazy with smoke from nearby wildfires, but that didn’t stop the fish from biting. Kat absolutely stole the show, reeling in trout and pike one after another while I was jigging deep for lake trout (lakers), hoping for some action. Eventually, my patience wore thin and I joined in on the fun, catching fish in the clear mountain water surrounded by stunning views and wildlife. The wind made things interesting, shifting from glassy calm conditions to powerful 35 mph gusts, but that only added to the adventure. We explored the reservoir until we found the perfect weed beds, and the bite was on fire. From non-stop fish action to breathtaking Rocky Mountain scenery, Taylor Park gave us everything we could ask for in a fishing trip. After a few hours on the water, we wrapped up the day by heading back to the boat ramp to meet our camping friends Rich and Stephanie for lunch, drinks, and even a little bank fishing to close it out. If you love Colorado fishing, trout, pike, and mountain lakes, this is a trip you don’t want to miss!
