Let's Build the RPG! - 7 - Landscape Material Tutorial in Unreal Engine 5
In this episode I go through all my techniques for painting and truly randomizing the look and feel of a landscape. We paint our landscape using a combination of 6 materials, 5 of which are painted the typical way, while one is automatically painted into our landscape material based on the height of the landscape. We will also cover how to use Material Functions to collapse and reuse material functionality for different materials in our landscape.
