Kıtlığın Tarihi - İrlanda Patates Kıtlığı - 4,2 Bin Yıl Olayı - 1816 Yaz Yaşanmayan Yıl
This week, we'll discuss the history of major famine periods worldwide. There are nearly 300 recorded major famines, but we decided to discuss a few that had dramatic consequences. Some of these were caused by volcanic eruptions, some by shifting ocean currents, some by fungal infections, and some by human factors. We'll discuss the oldest known famine in human history, a 4.2-thousand-year-old event, the Irish Potato Famine, and the Ottoman Empire's intriguing diplomacy with Ireland. Furthermore, I wanted to discuss the tragic consequences of the world freezing over even during the summer months in July 1816. #famine #ireland #history #podcast #1816 #ottoman
