1970s Motorbike and Safety Promotion and the School Traffic Education Programme, (STEP) F743
A film from the early 1970s, promoting both motorbikes as a form of transport, and the School Traffic Education Programme (STEP) of the time, which was designed to develop safe riding skills. The film appears to have been produced by the Institute of Motorcycles (now no longer) in collaboration with Drevitt Insurance. No credit is given to the narrator. The 1970s was a time when you could jump on a 250cc motorbike as a learner, without passing any test. As I did...with a Yamaha RD200.
