The Reform leader is waiting for the outcome of a standards investigation, and if he is suspended from the Commons for long enough it could trigger a recall petition and put his seat at risk. The pressure has been intensified by Rupert Lowe, who has warned that Restore Britain would throw everything at trying to end Farage’s Commons career in any by-election. The row is now threatening to become one of the biggest political tests Farage has faced since returning to Parliament.
