Huayhuash trek #huayhuash

I have put together a video from last month’s trek (June, 2024) in The Huayhuash, Peru. The trek was over 12 days, so I decided to not do a day-by-day video, but instead to show some of the more interesting clips. The scenery did not disappoint! Wow! For those who are interested in geology, this is the trek that should be on your list. But, it is a demanding trek, covering more than 80 miles in 12 days, with a high pass to cross almost every day. Although it's the dry season we had rain on a couple days, and snow. At 9 degrees south of the Equator, it's winter there. Everyone in our group had trained for this, and nobody got sick or injured. In the Huayhuash there is no helicopter rescue. Our guides brought along a "rescue horse" just in case.
