Stadtkirche Ludwigslust - Sanierung eines Baus mit „Geheimnissen“

Construction is currently underway on the roof of Ludwigslust's town church. The four large sandstone sculptures depicting the biblical evangelists are in particular need of restoration. Over the years, lichen and moss, weather conditions, and the remains of animal inhabitants have taken their toll on the historic sandstone figures. They will now undergo a thorough cleaning and will then receive a protective coating to protect them for years to come. The funds for the restoration came from the East German Savings Bank Foundation in partnership with the Mecklenburg-Schwerin Savings Bank Foundation. The renovation work is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.
