Bucket List Tick! Flying Over Lake Eyre | Coober Pedy to William Creek

This week our outback adventure takes us to one of Australia's most unique destinations – Coober Pedy. We explored the underground town, discovered its fascinating history and experienced the rugged beauty that makes this iconic outback community so special. From there, we headed to the spectacular Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park, where the colorful mesas, vast desert plains and ever-changing light create a landscape that has to be seen to be believed. Not wanting to rush through this incredible part of Australia, we took an amazing detour along the William Creek Road to the legendary William Creek Hotel on the Oodnadatta Track. We spent a few days soaking up the true outback atmosphere, meeting fellow travellers and enjoying one of Australia's most famous remote pubs. But the highlight of the week, and a genuine bucket-list moment, was taking to the skies for an unforgettable flight over Lake Eyre. Seeing Australia's largest salt lake from above was simply breathtaking and gave us a whole new appreciation for the scale and beauty of the Australian outback. Join us as we continue our journey through some of the most remote and remarkable landscapes in the country.
