3 Sarabandes (Bauyn Ms), mixed versions LUTE (Viennalute) & HARPSICHORD (The Clavierist)

This video is the result of a small project done in cooperation with ‪@Viennalute‬ The featured Sarabandes are to be found in the Bauyn manuscript, which contains pieces for keyboard. Details of the pieces (composer etc..) appear in the video. Some of the pieces in the manuscript, like the three presented here, are transcriptions of music originally written for the lute. Most of these 'lute' pieces in the Bauyn manuscript only survive in the keyboard version. Viennalute has rearranged the music back into lute tablature. The aim was to put the harpsichord version of the Bauyn manuscript beside the rearranged lute version of each piece. The project has also resulted in an article published by The Lute Society (UK) in The Lutezine 156 (2026) pages 58-6. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/theclavi...
