This is the original PC DOS classic, now available via GOG as Syndicate Plus (includes the American Revolt expansion). Syndicate drops you into a cyberpunk world where corporations have replaced governments, and your squad of cybernetically-enhanced agents does whatever it takes: assassination, persuasion, conversion, and outright slaughter. The Far East was a straight drop-in-and-eliminate job, and after the recent run of brutal, grinding firefights it was almost a holiday. I strolled the streets at my own pace, took cover when a corner got spicy, and only brought out the heavy hardware when it actually mattered. Easy going for once, though even carrying two long-range weapons apiece my agents still drained both of them dry before the streets were clear. The real story was back at base. I have Chest V2 and Brain V2 fully researched, and yet the coffers are so thin I could still only bolt Chest V2 onto one more agent this run. Chest is the upgrade that carries you, so I'm calling a halt on new research to actually kit the squad out with the mods I already own before I start chasing Chest V3, and maybe Arms V2 for the extra ammo capacity we're clearly going to need. All the tech unlocked, none of the cash to fit it. Very on brand for a megacorp.
