This is what "meltingly beautiful" singing is, in my opinion. Allen sounds simply gorgeous and Cotrubas - well, as Allen says in the programme, referring to Germont, "he'd be a hard man if he were not moved by this". Pity they didn't do the complete duet (or the whole act...)
