What is Narrowband in Astrophotography and Why is it Important?

If you would like to help me in my quest to share my love for astronomy and astrophotography, you can buy me a cup of coffee for only $2 a cup (I love coffee BTW) at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/PatProkop Narrowband astrophotography involves using a monochrome camera along with special filters which allow only a precise frequency of light to pass through to reach the sensor of the camera. But what is the importance of using Sulfur2, Hydrogen-alpha, and Oxygen3 filters? Watch and see. My test object was the Rosette nebula with several images of it at the end of this video.
