Robert Seamans is a Professor at NYU Stern School of Business, where he teaches game theory and strategy. His research examines how firms use technology in competition and the economic effects of AI, robotics, and other advanced technologies. He is Director of the Center for the Future of Management and previously served as Senior Economist for technology and innovation on President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers. He is interviewed by Kathryn Dill, a news editor on The Wall Street Journal’s live journalism team in New York, where she oversees programming and coverage for the Future of Everything Festival and related events. She previously covered careers and the workforce for the Journal and has also held editing roles at CNBC and Forbes. She holds a master’s degree in business and economic reporting from New York University.
