Martirio - Entrevista

La cantante Martirio nos regala esta entrevista, realizada en el Smock Alley Theatre, con motivo del concierto Travesía junto al guitarrista Raúl Rodríguez, y dentro del programa de actividades del Instituto Cervantes de Dublín para el Mes de las Mujeres (2024). Martirio habla sobre lo que supuso ser mujer y cantante en sus inicios como artista, hace un recorrido por su repertorio, nos descubre a los artesanos y creadores de la estética “Martirio” y reflexiona sobre su evolución como artista y persona. Martirio’s bio: After being a member of the group Jarcha in the 80s, and later of Veneno, alongside Kiko Veneno and Pata Negra, she released her first album in 1986, produced by K. Veneno and Teo Cardalda: Estoy mala. From there, her career as a constantly evolving artist began, pioneering the revival and modernization of treasures from Spanish and South American popular music.
