We Rode one of the LAST R44s ANYWHERE! Ride Them WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!

Today, with ‪@cryorig_transit05‬ , we set out once again to Staten Island to finally ride the SIRR's elusive R44 Subway Cars! These R44s have been in service since the early 1970s, which means that they are WELL past their expected service lives! Since the SIRR only has a few of these sets left and Staten Island is the only place they operate, these last ten (or so) sets are the last you'll find ANYWHERE! Now, I'm pretty sure the SIRR's R44s only operate during the rush hours so the R211s can take over all other times. I HIGHLY recommend riding these things, because not only did we have a blast, but they're also retiring VERY SOON! Catch or ride these things while you still can!!
