The weather, the empty coastline, the waves smashing in, and that long walk out to the castle just felt spot on. Yesterday the pub shut the kitchen on me, so I ended up finding a little parkup close by in the freezing cold eating & having eggs on toast for dinner! I came back the next day for round two and finally to eat in the Jolly Fisherman & got their famous crab sandwich while staring out at the sea, awesome! I wandered through the smokehouse, grabbed some kippers for breakfast, watched the waves tearing in, and had the whole car park and coastline basically to myself. Proper peaceful.
