Reviving the ex-Grand-Am Porsche 996 GT3 Cup Car

In this episode, we begin the process of bringing the ex-Grand-Am Porsche 996 GT3 Cup race car back to life. The goal is simple: get the car ready to run on track again. The reality is a little more complicated. With no real plan going in, the process becomes something else entirely… following leads, asking questions, and learning from the people who know these cars best. One introduction leads to another, and slowly the path forward starts to take shape. Along the way, we inspect the car, map out what it needs, and begin the work to return this early-2000s Cup car to the track. Sometimes the only way to start is with no plan, just curiosity. So much gratitude for all the help on this project. Simply could not have done it alone. 00:00 – Let’s do this! 00:33 – Not so fast 01:34 – A little help from my friends 02:48 – Making the list 04:15 – Advice from Dave 05:12 – Demon Speed Motorsports 06:58 – Back to Zach’s shop 07:34 – Tires and wheels 08:52 – Air jacks 09:08 – New rear bumper 10:11 – The Livery 13:15 – Thank you, and what’s next?
