Vintage 1930 Graybar Model 770 AM antique radio floor console repair Hear it play again!
Repair of a neat old radio for a local Museum. Graybar Model 770, same circuit as the RCA Radiola 82. The unit arrived dead. Power cord was shot. Needed new filter caps installed. Did not originally come with a fuse, so I added that. Found 3 bad tubes, one dead. Cleaned/lubed the tuning mechanism. I did not perform a complete restore, since they were on a tight budget. The radio will play for a day while they have an open house, then it goes back to hibernation. My shop specializes on vintage home stereo, amplifier, guitar amp, and Ham radio repair.
