Karangan itself, when associated with Balinese cuisine, can be interpreted as a portion. So, Karangan Lawar is a specific portion of a Lawar package. In some places, Karangan Lawar has the same meaning, but the form or composition differs. In this video, I will show you Karangan Lawar, a specialty of Gianyar (more specifically Ketewel Village). The portions of Karangan Lawar can vary in terms of contents, but generally speaking, they are all nearly the same. For example, there are: Lawar (meat) Lawar with vegetables (Jukut) Serapah Satay Sometimes it can also include Balung (a type of meat) and Tum/Pepes (a type of steamed rice).
