Exposing the Errors and Incompetence of James Bogle.
This video is a reply to a hit-piece article against John Salza by James Bogle that was published by 1Peter5. Mr. Salza has also written a reply in article form that can be read here: https://www.trueorfalsepope.com/p/ssp... This video also documents one of Mr. Bogle's heresies, namely, his explicit denial of the defined dogma that the Pope is not the head of the Catholic Church. This dogma is also denied by Michael Matt, Mother Mariam, Fr. Joseph Wilson , who answers the Ask Father section of the Remnant and, unfortunately, many other self described Traditional Catholics. See the article: "Is the Pope the Head of the Church? Don't Ask Father," in reply to the same heresy professed by Fr. Joseph Wilson in The Remnant Newspaper: https://www.trueorfalsepope.com/p/is-... This heresy is a logical conclusion of the false ecclesiology they have embraced, which sees the juridical constitution of the Roman Catholic Church as a human construct, and hence, sees the Roman Catholic Church as a human organization that is distinct from the "true" Catholic Church of which. This same heresy is implicit in Archbishops Lefebvre's heretical distinction between what he called the "institutional Church" (or the "official Church") and the true Catholic Church. The reality is that institutional church (or official Church), IS the true Catholic Church. They are one and the same and hence attempting to distinguish between the two, as Archbishop Lefebvre did, is heretcal. AI SUMMARY This video is a rebuttal to an article by James Bogle published on 1Peter5*, which defended the *SSPX*. The hosts, *John Salza and *Robert*, analyze what they describe as major theological and canonical errors in the article. *Key topics discussed include:* 1. Critique of James Bogle's Article:** (0:00 - 5:07) The hosts introduce their rebuttal, accusing Bogle of incompetence, misrepresentation, and launching an "erroneous attack" against *Salza*. 2. The Heresy Concerning the Papacy:** (11:20 - 16:45) Salza and Robert document the claim that Bogle*, along with others like *Michael Matt and Fr. Joseph Wilson*, denies the defined dogma that the *Pope is the head of the Catholic Church*. The hosts argue that the *institutional Church is the true *Catholic Church*. 3. Supplied Jurisdiction and Sacraments:** (32:00 - 41:40) The hosts discuss the status of SSPX faculties, arguing that their previous confessions were invalid for decades and challenging Bogle's* interpretation of Pope Francis's grants of authority. 4.Bishop Fellay and Canonical Trials:** (46:02 - 50:30) The hosts address a claim regarding Bishop Fellay acting as a judge in a canonical trial, clarifying that this does not constitute validation of SSPX marriages. 5.Rejection of the Profession of Faith:** (58:05 - 1:04:08) The hosts argue that the SSPX rejects the 1989 Profession of Faith and explain why they believe this indicates a rejection of Catholic teaching. 6.State of Necessity and Epikeia:** (1:11:11 - 1:18:40) The hosts criticize Bogle's application of the principle of epikeia to justify SSPX episcopal consecrations, maintaining that necessity does not supply mission. 7.Communion in the Hand:** (1:29:05 - 1:31:07) The video concludes with a brief discussion challenging the claim that communion in the hand is a modern novelty, citing early church history.
