Bishop Schneider's Errors on the SSPX Episcopal Consecrations

In this Podcast, we address the errors in Bishops Schneider's defense of the SSPX, including his criticism of the 1989 Profession of Faith, which all Catholics - East and West - must profess to hold office in the Church. We also refute several common arguments in defense of the Society's illicit episcopal consecrations, such as Cardinal Slipyj episcopal consecrations without a papal mandate and Wojtyla's allegedly illicit priestly ordinations (not episcopal consecrations) behind the iron curtain. We explain why these are in no way comparrable to the illicit episcopal consecrations of the SSPX and also explain why, according to canon law itself, Cardinal Slipyj would not have incurred ipso facto excommunication for consecration a bishop without a papal mandate, even though the law of the Church itself had attached an automatic excommunication to a bishop who did so.
