The Reason I Rejoice Even in Suffering | Job 6:1-13 1 Job answered and said: 2 If I could weigh my affliction, and put my ruin on the scales, 3 it would be heavier than the sand of the sea. Therefore I was rash in my words. 4 The arrow of the Almighty has struck me; my spirit has drunk its poison. The terror of God strikes me. 5 For can a wild donkey bray where there is grass? Or can an ox bray where there is fodder? 6 Can bland food be eaten without salt? Or is the egg white of a chicken tasty? 7 My soul refuses to touch such things, for I regard them as repulsive foods. 8 Who will hear my plea? Or will God grant my desire? 9 For God will be pleased to destroy me, and will lift up His hand to cut me off. 10 Yet I am comforted, and I rejoice even in my unceasing suffering, because I have not disobeyed the word of the Holy One. 11 What strength do I have to wait? My "What would the end be that I would simply endure it?" 12 "How could my strength be the strength of a stone? How could my flesh be bronze?" 13 "Is not my help within me?
