The former paper factory transforms into a modern integrated center for crafts and trading, located over two levels with 120 units, including 10 medium-sized areas, 12 food bar and restaurant outlets and 2,000 parking places. The whole project is focused on sustainability, integration with the environment the surrounding historic ruins and the use of an alternative energy supply. Also the analysis of technological systems of the new mall focuses on energy efficiency. The shopping and medium-sized areas, as well as the galleries, are cooled by 26 reversible Roof-Top units, Whisper, Work and Wisdom-R ranges. The units have been selected to maximize efficiency, to compliment the sustainable development of the whole building, by working in free-cooling mode. In the mid-season or in winter, it is possible to take advantage of the more favorable external enthalpy conditions using the outside temperature to provide real free cooling.
