The Hara Centre - The Root of Martial Arts

The Hara Centre is the body's physical centre. Located just below the navel, the Hara centre actually involves the entire abdomen and is also related to breathing. When you bring the Hara Cenrre, or the lower abdomen into play, this enhances you breathing muscles of chest area. By enhancing the power of the lower abdomen, this draws the diaphragm down, expanding the lung capacity and and general alignment of the body. In this video, we will look at how the Hara Centre grounds the entire body, as well as how it connects with the upper centres, such as the neck and head. We will look at some exercises and methods to do this. Above all this is a method not a conclusion or solution. When your body is aligned properly, and you are able to perceive the energy transmission correctly, you are able to become a better able to function, but you also better know how to do the work. Does it work? There is no point making any conclusions about this, it opens up new possibilities for action and better working capability. Try it for yourself.
